Zeenat led a mindfulness workshop for my Science of Happiness class of 200+ undergraduates, and led smaller meditation sessions for the students later in the week. Throughout, Zeenat knew how to communicate with students, always radiating calm, thoughtfulness, and knowledge. She was as comfortable discussing some of the “big ideas” of mindfulness as she was leading us through meditation practice. Her ability to connect with the audience was especially impressive, given that a lecture hall filled with a couple hundred people is not necessarily the most conducive to quiet contemplation. I loved working with Zeenat and look forward to learning more from her in the future.

Zeenat led a full day retreat for MBA students at MIT’s Sloan School. Her ability to recognize and adjust her teaching to the needs of the audience was masterful. Many of the students were hesitant about meditation and had no exposure to the practice beyond having heard about it generally. Zeenat led the students with grace and sensitivity to their needs.

Zeenat brings skill, warmth, and a graceful, steady presence to her teaching. She offers her students an opportunity for a beautiful and safe exploration of their moment-to-moment experience, what’s important to them, and what it means to build community.

Zeenat has a special gift for teaching mindfulness and meditation. Her calm nature and soft, soothing voice, along with her natural sense of compassion, help even the newest meditators feel welcome. She is able to explain mindfulness in simple, concise terms, offering her own personal experiences where appropriate. I sincerely believe that anyone would benefit from her exceptional mindfulness training.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Zeenat at our company. Her classes make meditation and mindfulness techniques accessible for beginners, but have a depth to them that resonates with more experienced practitioners as well. A number of people in our workplace who had no prior experience with meditation said that Zeenat’s sessions were transformative and have sparked a newfound interest in meditation for them.

Zeenat built a wonderful foundation for mindfulness in my classroom. She taught mindfulness in a developmentally appropriate way to my first grade students. As a teacher, I now feel I have the tools to continue a mindfulness practice with my students.

Zeenat extends a circle of peace around her wherever she goes. Little Buddhas, a program she leads at Cambridge Insight Meditation Center, has created a warm and inviting space for our family to practice rituals of mindfulness together. As a fellow parent of a toddler, I am amazed at her ability to spread a sense of well-being, calm and compassion through the wilds of childrearing! Our family feels very lucky to have Zeenat in our life.

Zeenat’s supportive and affirming presence, and skill in guiding others in meditation techniques created a powerful experience for the staff at Oxfam. I finished the session with deep gratitude, peace of mind, and an awakened awareness of myself and my environment—only wishing for another chance to repeat the experience.
